Family Mini Session Day

What a great day! This extended family wanted to do something outside-the-box and decided to combine their three family mini sessions into one fun family photo and park day! I love the idea of having everyone in one place and because this is an activity they love doing together already, it was a really relaxed atmosphere for the kiddos. The best thing about this idea though is not only did the grandparents get some really fun pictures with their grandkids, but we also grabbed pics of just the two of them. It is important for children to have these kind of photos that capture the real love their parents have for each other as well as for their family. Most of the time, photo focus is put entirely on the children (which I adore taking pictures of)… but the more time I spend learning about how awesome each family is, the more I feel that capturing the parents is equally important. When there are extra helping hands for the kiddos, I love stepping aside with the parents for 15-20 minutes and watching them remember how much they still love each other. They are always some of my session favs. At the end of the session we grabbed some shots of the cousins just playing and enjoying each others company. You know, being silly, running around, teasing each other, all the things that make cousins awesome. All in all it was a beautiful day full of beautiful connections… doesn’t get any better than that. Thank you to this family for such a fun time <3

Hello Friends

Let's face it, real life is messy. But I believe that our lives are beautifully created, even when they are messy. God is good in your life all the time, during the pretty stuff and the not so pretty stuff. During the perfect matching outfit days and the yoga pants and spilled applesauce days. Youth and age, smiles and tears, lights and shadows, He is good in all of them. I love seeing His presence and artistry in our everyday moments then I get to capture these moments for others to see... it doesn't get any better than that!
